The only place in Tanzania where you will experience true Sukuma people culture. The Sukuma occupy a large area from Lake Victoria, through Mwanza, Shinyanga and Tabora regions. They are termed as the largest tribe in East Africa, population of about 5 million people.

Serengeti Cultural Centre organizes various activities annually to enable tourists experience first hand Sukuma culture.

·        The Rhythmic fishing at the nearby Lake Victoria (kokoro).

·        Fore-telling of ones future by the resident traditional healer (mfumu).

·         The annual Serengeti Sukuma Flowers Festival (Bulabo). Here all the famous traditional healers and dancers come together to determine the best among them.

·        Sukuma Energetic Snake Dances (gobogobo).

·        Village Bicycle rides, incorporated with fishing village tour.

·        Traditional animal tour. Get the chance to see all types of farm animals kept by the Sukuma people. This could be the only chance to sample traditional food, and experience true village life.

·        Sukuma dances are available daily, with prior bookings (at least 24 hrs before).

·        At the Cultural Centre you will also see the Sukuma Royal Drums, or be able to stay overnight in one of the traditional styled huts.

·        You will also have the only chance in Tanzania to purchase TRULY TRADITIONAL ARTIFACTS from the resident traditional healer.
